CEMETERY TOUR WITH WHS PRESIDENT PAM FOX ON OCTOBER 27th

TOUR WESTON’s two oldest cemeteries WITH PAM FOX

On Sunday, October 27th, Pam Fox of the Weston Historical Society and author of "Farm Town to Suburb: The History and Architecture of Weston, Massachusetts", led a tour of the two oldest cemeteries in Weston, MA.

Did you know Isaac Jones donated the land for Farmer's Burying Ground and that he also sold 1.5 acres to the town for the creation of Central Cemetery, both in Weston?  An additional acre was purchased from Isaac's grandsons in 1834. Isaac and many of his family members are buried in Farmer's Burying Ground.  Many important Westonians are also remembered in these parcels.

The tour was co-sponsored by Weston Historical Society and The Golden Ball Tavern Museum.
